sometimes it’s a bitch

you are the self

in search of itself

you are the one who helps

and needs help

you are the way

growing inside of me everyday

you are the path

you are the road

you are the one

ready to explode

you can’t keep it

inside anymore

you are the one

no one can ignore

you are the door

the link the key

that must restore

you are the vision

the one born blind

the just the unjust

the wicked the kind

you need to unwind

you cannot be defined

you are innocent

unformed wild

with outstretched arms

forming a smile

you are the one who bleeds

the one who cries

blocked up inside

you are ready to rise

you work all day

to put food on the table

you belong to everyone and no one

you are so able

hatred the war

we are living for
